Western Supply
Capabilities
Every category we supply, how we operate, and what the lead time looks like from enquiry to site delivery.
Supply categories
What we supply.
Kitchens
Our flagship category and the deepest part of our supply programme. Cabinetry, island units, overhead storage and pantry joinery manufactured to your project drawings. Benchtop options include engineered stone and natural stone across a range of finishes. Hardware specified to Blum, Hettich, Hafele or equivalent European-specification brands throughout.
Typical project scale: 4 to 20 units across multi-residential townhouse or apartment developments. Each order is inspected at two stages before shipment and delivered flat-packed to your Melbourne site.
Joinery & cabinetry
Built-in wardrobes, wall units, custom storage and feature joinery across all levels of a development. We manufacture from your detailed drawings or work with your documentation to produce construction drawings before quoting. Scope includes laundry joinery, pantry joinery, study cabinetry and any fixed storage beyond the kitchen.
The same QC programme applies: factory milestone check, third-party pre-shipment inspection and on-arrival verification before delivery to site.
Vanities & bathrooms
Full bathroom vanity packages: vanity units, mirror cabinets, shaving cabinets and freestanding pieces. Coordinated with your tile and fixture specification to confirm cabinet heights, toe-kick clearance and plumbing positions before manufacture.
Available in standard Melbourne developer finishes or custom to project specification. Volume pricing applies for multi-bathroom configurations across multi-unit developments. Lead time consistent with kitchen packages.
Stone & benchtops
Engineered and natural stone for benchtops, splashbacks and feature surfaces. Supply direct from stone manufacturing partners, cut to confirmed dimensions. Intended for coordinated supply alongside kitchen or joinery packages to consolidate scheduling, inspection and freight.
Specification will follow the same documentation and QC requirements as existing supply categories. Contact us to register interest ahead of launch.
Tile & flooring
Porcelain, ceramic and engineered timber flooring in the volume quantities required by multi-unit residential developments. Floor-ready product supplied with material certification and compliance documentation.
Intended for coordinated supply with joinery and vanity packages, reducing freight events per project and simplifying on-site logistics. Contact us to register interest ahead of launch.
Full fit-out procurement
For developers running 4 or more unit projects who want a single procurement partner across multiple categories. We scope the full fit-out requirement, coordinate production across categories with compatible lead times, consolidate freight where possible and manage delivery sequencing against your construction programme.
One contact, one QA programme, one contract. This is the model Western Supply is building toward at scale.
Operational model
How we operate.
The six areas below explain how orders move from quote to site delivery. Written for builders who want to understand the model before committing.
Manufacturing partners
We work with a small number of manufacturers rather than maintaining a broad catalogue. Each has been assessed against a baseline: production capacity relevant to our order volume, documentation capability to support Australian compliance, an internal QC programme, and financial standing that doesn't put orders at risk. We add new partners slowly and with intention.
Our preference is for factories that supply commercial markets in their own country. A manufacturer with local quality expectations tends to maintain consistency under schedule pressure without external intervention. We visit partners before placing initial orders and conduct periodic reviews of quality and capacity.
Quality control programme
Every order goes through three documented checkpoints. At the production milestone, we receive photographic documentation of carcass completion and hardware installation, reviewed against your confirmed drawings. At pre-shipment, an independent third-party inspector visits the factory: dimensions, finish, hardware function and packing are verified. We use SGS, QIMA or Bureau Veritas depending on location and capacity. The inspection report is provided to you with shipping documents.
On arrival in Melbourne, we conduct an on-arrival check before confirming delivery to site. Any item that fails inspection does not ship. If an issue is identified on arrival, we resolve with the manufacturer directly: replacement or rectification at no cost to the builder.
Freight and logistics
Goods move by consolidated sea freight from factory to Melbourne. We coordinate freight booking, container loading supervision, Australian port entry and final delivery to site. Builders deal with one contact from production approval to delivery.
Lead times depend on production schedule, vessel availability and port congestion. Our standard quote assumes 14 to 16 weeks from production order to Melbourne site delivery for kitchen packages. Multi-category orders may require 16 to 18 weeks. We confirm actual lead time at the time of quoting based on current schedules. Flat-pack format is standard for all joinery and cabinetry.
Customs and compliance
Goods are imported under correct HS classification with duty and GST calculated at the time of quoting. Our quotes include all import costs: purchase price, freight, customs duty, GST and our procurement margin. There are no cost surprises at customs clearance.
Where required, we supply Australian Standards compliance documentation with delivery. All materials meet the relevant Australian Standards for residential construction. Certificates of conformity and material specifications are provided for your compliance package. Builders on certified builds should confirm documentation requirements at quote stage so they are captured in the production specification.
Currency and pricing
All quotes and contracts are issued in AUD. The foreign exchange exposure from USD or other currency procurement is carried by Western Supply, not passed to the builder. You pay the AUD price agreed at production order, regardless of exchange rate movements between quote and shipment.
Our procurement margin is disclosed at the time of quoting. Builders see the total AUD cost and the breakdown of logistics costs and margin before approving any production. No deposit is taken before the quote is approved.
Communication
From production order to site delivery, you receive weekly status updates. A dedicated project group is set up for each order and photographic documentation is sent at each production milestone. You know where your order is at all times.
One contact at Western Supply who knows your order, your site and your build programme. Not a portal, not a ticketing system, not a different person each time you call.
